CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF LUZERNE COUNTY, INC. is affliated with CEF OF E. PA, INC. We are a non-profit, interdenominational, Christian, children's ministry.
Our Purpose of our ministry is four-fold:
1. To win boys and girls to Christ
2. To help children grow as Christians
3. To channel unchurched children into
Bible-believing, Bible teaching churches
4. To train young people and adults how to teach
the Word of God to children.
In 1936, J. Irvin Overholtzer responded to God’s call to win boys and girls to Christ, thus establishing the ministry of CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP. Mr. Overholtzer made the first contacts in Eastern Pennsylvania in 1937, and CEF was officially organized in Eastern Pennsylvania in 1938.
We thank the Lord for the 50-plus years of ministry CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF LUZERNE COUNTY, INC. has had to generations of boys and girls through Good News Clubs, 5-Day Clubs, and camps.
